Airtel To Launch Internet TV Service

Bharati Airtel officials said that they are starting the Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) Service soon. They are running the service in Delhi for testing. High speed broadband connection is required for the Internet Protocol Television Service, so they are planning to give out IPTV service in six metro cities Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Bharati Airtel has already started there DTH service recently.

Its entry level service packs had been priced at Rs 2,499. “According to our estimates, SMBs in India spend over $15 billion on IT and telecom. We believe this can be one of our growth areas,” said Kohli,chief executive officer of Bharti Airtel Ltd .
