Motorola Introduced MOTO QA30 Alltel QWERTY slider
Motorola introduced their new phone with Qwerty slider MOTO QA30.Some people may like the QWERTY keyboard offered by the Motorola Q9h, but they don’t like how it has a relatively large footprint. Motorola appears to be addressing this concern with the Motorola QA30, the company’s first QWERTY slider phone.
With squared-off looks reminiscent of the LG Lotus, only in a slider format, details of the Motorola MOTO QA30 have emerged. Bearing Alltel branding, the QWERTY-blessed handset is CDMA 1xEVDO with stereo Bluetooth 2.0 and a 2.5-inch 320 x 240, 65k color display.
As well as messaging, with both threaded SMS/MMS, email and IM supported, there’s a full HTML browser and Facebook access. The QA30 should do well as a media player, too, with a standard 3.5mm headphone socket, microSD slot content with cards up to 32GB and USB 2.0 to shuffle all your music across.
A 2-megapixel camera rounds out the known specifications. Predictions of price are low, what with this being a feature-phone rather than a smartphone; there’s no precise word on release date, but some anonymous Alltel staff are claiming that dummy phones are already showing up in stores.
Other specifications include EVDO, 2.5-inch QVGA display, threaded messaging, HTML browser, email access, IM, 3.5mm headset jack, stereo Bluetooth, 2 megapixel camera, and microSDHC support up to 32GB.
