Now you can stop the buffering of the YouTube video if you don’t want to watch it. To stop the buffering of the video right click the video and click the ‘Stop Download’.

Until now, a simple trick to stop buffering a YouTube video was to fast forward to the end of the video. YouTube added an option to stop the download: right-click on the video and click on “Stop download”.
