Magadheera – Greatest Hit in the Telugu Film Industry, may remake in Bollywood

Magadheera is a Telugu film directed by S.S. Rajamouli and produced by Allu Aravind. Ram Charan Teja plays the lead role along with Kajal Aggarwal while actors Srihari and Dev Gill play other prominent roles. Ram Charan Teja is the son of veteran actor Chiranjeevi. Magadheera is the highest budgeted Telugu film ever taken with a budget of Rs.40 crores ($10 Million) With a gross collection above Rs 120 crores ($30 Million), the highest for a Telugu movie.

Magadheera is the second film of Ram Charan Teja. It gave him a very good starting for his career. His first film was Chirutha, which gave him 3 awards. His upcoming movie is Orange. Orange is a romantic comedy film directed by Bhaskar. Its filming is in progress. The movie which is due to hit the screens in 2010, will see Teja with Genelia D’Souza.

We can expect a remake of Magadheera in Hindi. In an interview with Ram Charan Teja, he said

“I did get the offer to remake Magadheera in Hindi by the same producers as Ghajini, but I turned it down because I don’t see myself recreating what I have already done, and if the director is not the same, the next director can mess it up.”

According to the sources, the Hindi remake will have Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan in lead roles. Reportedly, Hrithik Roshan may enact the role of overpoweringly gigantic warrior and Aamir Khan as the reincarnated man. The remake version is set to be produced at a big sum of Rs.80Crores.
