New Version of Google Spreadsheets
Google docs made a few small changes to make lots of things easier, faster, and more intuitive. To give it a try, click the New version link in the top-right corner of any spreadsheet (learn more about switching versions).
Here’s some information about what’s new.
The formula bar, which lets you view long formulas on a single line, is now a place where you can edit formulas too. Just place your cursor in the formula bar, and make whatever changes you need.

Typed something before? With the addition of autofill, duplicating an entry is as easy as pressing Enter. Just type the first few characters of your entry, and the rest should show up right away.

Need to move a column? You can drag it using your mouse. Want to sort a column? Click the drop-down menu on the column header. No need to right-click.

Brand new buttons. They re-designed the buttons on the bottom so that they’re clearer and easier to use. Sheet titles are bigger and easier to click. And for those of you with a lot of sheets in one doc, we added a quick way to view a list of all your sheets.

In this revised version of Google spreadsheets, Google docs team tried to make everything a lot faster. Initial loading, cell freezing, scrolling, and edits from collaborators are all improved. And getting where you want in a spreadsheet is faster too: you can provide direct links to any sheet in a spreadsheet.
