World’s largest auto manufacturer, General Motors has launched its most awaited small car model Chevrolet Beat in the Indian Auto market. Indian auto market is dominated by the small hatchback cars as more than 70% of car buyers fall in this segment and the with the launch of Chevrolet Beat the company plans to capture more market share. The company has launched only petrol variants of Chevrolet Beat with three variants. All three variants are powered by the same capacity engine that produces 80.5PS of maximum power. Chevrolet Beat carries sharp styling features for both its interiors as well as exteriors. The Chevrolet Beat price falls in the range of Rs 3.34 lacs to Rs 3.94 lacs. The front of Chevrolet Beat is very stylish and funky with its raked large headlamps and bold front grille. General Motors has made also the rear of Chevrolet Beat very attractive with chrome surrounds on its tail lamps. Chevrolet Beat has generated immense interest in the Indian auto market because of its stylish and funky looks, advanced features which is available at low price tag.

Honda slashes Civic Hybrid price

Honda Siel Cars India slashed the pricce of its eco-friendly sedan,Civic Hybrid,to Rs.13.36 lakh(ex-showroom,Delhi) from Rs.21.50 lakh earlier for a limited period,till December this year.Till last month,the company sold 60 units of the ‘Civic Hybrid’.

AMBIEROD-Inspired from the Ambi.

After designing a Bond car and thousands of other designer car for the style conscious, renowned car designer Dilip Chhabria of DC Designs officially unveiled his super luxury concept car dubbed Ambierod on January 10, 2008 at the Auto Expo in New Delhi. The Ambierod design takes its inspiration from the design of the oldest Ambassador. If it goes into production, it’s expected to come in Rs 4 crore (US $1 million) price range. Ambierod is the most expensive designed car ever been showcased at the Auto Expo.

The luxury car is to be equipped with an automated instrumental panel backed by satellite navigation system, rear vision camera, three LCD televisions, internet and videoconferencing-enabled flat bed and multi-coloured mood lighting. It’s being hyped as an intelligent, retro-futuristic car that has been designed from the iconic Ambassdor.

THE ambierod is bluffed to reach upto the whomping speeds of 309kmph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The looks of the concept roadster are said to be inspired by the American Hotrods and beyond.

Other than the Ambierod, DC Designs will also roll out a sports car under its own brand. The DC sports car range would be christened ‘S’ and will carry a price tag of Rs 25 lakh (US $63,635). The engines, transmission, suspension and the brake system would be sourced from various global manufacturers. The ‘S’ sports car will bear the DNA of a Ferrari or Lamborghini with comparable supercar performance and offer 0-100 kmph in 3.7 seconds. It looks like the custom-design vehicle market is experiencing a speedily escalating boom in India.
