Today Google introduced a new functionality which is coming to Google search in few days. The new feature is named Google Instant. As the name suggest this feature enables the user to see the result for his query as he types in the query. Sounds crazy? Yourself Try Google Instant.

Google keeps on working hard on delivering the user what he needs. For this Google introduced Auto complete named Google Suggest earlier. And now Google introduces Google Instant which uses the Google Suggest feature and deliver the results for the best suggestion.

Google Instant works like this. When you type in a search query in the Google Search box, the Google Suggest will show up a list of possible query you might be searching for. Google Instant adds one more step to this, it will show the results for the best suggestion ie the first suggestion. So that you will get results for every key press you make in the Google.

Google uses AJAX to load the results for the every query. So the user will not be disturbed by any page reloads or refresh. This feature will be also introduced to Google Mobile search, which can be a very interesting and useful feature as typing in the mobile is still a hard thing to do.

The bottom line of Google Instant feature is that it will reduce the need of typing and also shows up a large set of results for a particular search. What we need to know is that what will be its efficiency is different working conditions like slower internet connections. As every key press loads a whole new set of results much more data is being sent over the network.

Drag your finger of the virtual keyboard on the screen and the desired word is inputted into the device. Swype provides a faster and easier way to input text on any screen. With one continuous finger or stylus motion across the screen keyboard, the patented technology enables users to input words faster and easier than other data input methods. The application is designed to work across a variety of devices such as phones, tablets, game consoles, kiosks, televisions, virtual screens and more.

The word “quick” was generated from tracing the path shown above in a fraction of a second, by roughly aiming to pass through the letters of the word. A key advantage to Swype is that there is no need to be very accurate, enabling very rapid text entry.

Swype was developed by Cliff Kushler and Randy Marsden, along with a very talented team of software programmers and linguists.

Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University and Microsoft have produced Skinput, an experimental device that turns the body’s largest organ into a touch screen. Here in this your skin serves as an interactive surface.
CMU’s Chris Harrison and colleagues at Microsoft rigged up an acoustic bio-sensor to detect sound patterns created when tapping a forearm or palm. Each area has a specific acoustic signature that can be associated with functions like dialing a phone. Pinching and flicking gestures can also be used for commands.
The prototype is an armband that users wear. It features an elbow brace with sensors that can register the movement caused by each finger, and react to the movements. It then identifies the acoustic resonance of each movement and stores it. A camera then projects the more complex menus onto the other forearm, and the user taps on the display, which vibrates to the sensors to accept the command. The system takes a few moments to distinguish the sound, and vibrations of the individual user, and then it is ready to go.

After designing a Bond car and thousands of other designer car for the style conscious, renowned car designer Dilip Chhabria of DC Designs officially unveiled his super luxury concept car dubbed Ambierod on January 10, 2008 at the Auto Expo in New Delhi. The Ambierod design takes its inspiration from the design of the oldest Ambassador. If it goes into production, it’s expected to come in Rs 4 crore (US $1 million) price range. Ambierod is the most expensive designed car ever been showcased at the Auto Expo.

The luxury car is to be equipped with an automated instrumental panel backed by satellite navigation system, rear vision camera, three LCD televisions, internet and videoconferencing-enabled flat bed and multi-coloured mood lighting. It’s being hyped as an intelligent, retro-futuristic car that has been designed from the iconic Ambassdor.

THE ambierod is bluffed to reach upto the whomping speeds of 309kmph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The looks of the concept roadster are said to be inspired by the American Hotrods and beyond.

Other than the Ambierod, DC Designs will also roll out a sports car under its own brand. The DC sports car range would be christened ‘S’ and will carry a price tag of Rs 25 lakh (US $63,635). The engines, transmission, suspension and the brake system would be sourced from various global manufacturers. The ‘S’ sports car will bear the DNA of a Ferrari or Lamborghini with comparable supercar performance and offer 0-100 kmph in 3.7 seconds. It looks like the custom-design vehicle market is experiencing a speedily escalating boom in India.

Harking back to a seemingly bygone era when mobile phones offered just integrated music and photography, not a complete PC alternative, Samsung has sung us this a new line…

‘The Beat’ range will comprise two handsets: the ‘s’ for slider and ‘b’ for candybar (yes, slightly confusing) – also known as the ‘M3200′ and ‘M3510′. Both are aimed towards the lower end of the market but offer near 1cm waistlines and a few nice surprises.

In the case of the s (M3200), you get DNSe (Digital Natural Sound engine) and a Bang & Olufsen ‘ICEpower’ audio chip for improved sound quality, stereo Bluetooth (A2DP), an FM tuner with RDS and recording ability, that all important 3.5mm headphone jack and an accelerometer which enables ‘Motion Play’, ie: tracks to be skipped with a hearty shake.

Automatic mood based music playlists are available too (as seems the current trend) plus Shazam’s excellent ‘Find Music’ service, while on the hardware side a 2MP camera, 2in QVGA display and microSD memory card slot round things off.

As for the b (M3510) – form factors aside – it is virtually identical feature-for-feature and spec-for-spec so your main decision is primarily aesthetic.

Both Beat phones will be launching in early October and expect them to be a hit (pun very much intended) on the PAYG scene while any kind of monthly contract should land them for free.
