Honda is offering discounts on its premium luxury hatchback Honda Jazz to boost its sales. Honda Jazz which is currently priced in between 8-9 Lakh is not selling upto the expectations. The discount will be on selected varients of Honda Jazz upto Rs.1.75 Lakh.

Honda Jazz is a luxury hatchback class car which is competed with Hyundai i20, Volkswagan Polo. When compared with price of its competitors Jazz is ahed by almost Rs.2-2.5 Lakh. This was the main reason for the slowdown of Jazz in the market. Honda was only able to sell 643 units of Jazz in the April-June quarter of the current fiscal year.

Now the discount is not initiated by the Honda company, but from the dealers of company.

A company spokesperson told reporters: “We are not giving any discount. Discounts are offered at the dealer level depending upon the models and the variants of the car. The maximum discount goes up to Rs.1.75 lakh.”

The first generation Jazz set a benchmark by achieving cumulative sales of more than 2 million units. The truly acclaimed and the stunning performer Honda Jazz , in its Second generation avatar, has been launched finally in India but with a price tag starting from Rs. 7 lakhs the prospective buyers may go for the much more affordable and feature rich Hyundai i20.

Design

Honda’s Jazz is one of the cleverest superminis around. It’s a thoroughly modern design that’s innovative in its use of space, with remarkably good head and rear legroom, well specced, and fitted with frugal and characterful engines.

It’s at its best in town where it’s both friendly and fun to drive. From the outside the brilliance of the Jazz is not immediately obvious. It has more than a hint of the MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) about it. Though the Honda Jazz is small, Honda’s enviable reputation for refinement and reliability shine through clearly.

Take a little look at the exterior of the Honda Jazz and you will see just some of the great styling and body features that saw the Honda Jazz win the Japan Car of the Year in 2001 and 2002 – with a few updated twists here and there.

The Exterior Design of Honda Jazz is stylish and embellish typical Honda design – sharp lines and central bonnet ridge. Sharp headlamps supplements the steeply raked windscreen but the front grille resembles the CR-V. Alloy wheels and ellipsoidal glass area decorates the Jazz side. Taillamp is the pure attraction as it blends with the rear.

Interiors

You sit quite high up in the Jazz, although a good range of seat and wheel adjustment makes it easy for most drivers to get comfortable and find good vision. The cabin is well planned and attractive, with big, easy-to-use buttons.

The view forwards is similar to that found in a baby MPV. Steering wheel is fully adjustable and there’s an excellent driving position, although the seats are a little firm. Good all-round visibility from the tall design and large glass areas. Attractive cabin with chunky switches and buttons in all the places you’d expect them. They’re user-friendly, and intuitive to use.

Interior build quality is spot-on with quality materials used throughout. Panel fit is perfect and there are no suspicious rattles or squeaks. Jazz is one of the most desirable small cars on sale, thanks to its clever, spacious interior, frugal petrol engine, and Honda’s reputation for reliability.

The Jazz practicality has been enhanced with three mode “Magic Seat” configuration to achieve multiple seating and cargo-carrying configurations for long or tall objects in addition to the standard five-passenger mode.

Utility mode : Easy one-motion dive down and reverse operation of the rear seats. The luggage space can be extended to a maximum length of 1,720 mm thanks to the spacious full-flat floor.

Long mode : In Utility mode, place the passenger seat in the full reclining position to create a space up to 2,400 mm long to carry long objects.

Tall mode : Fold up the rear seat cushions to take advantage of Jazz’s 1,280 mm roof height—the perfect way to make space for tall items like house plants.

Safety

Safety of passengers and pedestrians is a top priority for Honda and all safety equipment is standard across all variants. The Honda Jazz comes fully loaded with various active and passive safety features including ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution System), Dual SRS airbags and pre-tensioner seat belts.

Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering Body (ACE) & G-CON (G-Force Control Technology) provide a high integrity survival zone that enhances self-protection and better compatibility in collisions with other vehicles. Honda’s Pedestrian-injury reduction body design helps protect pedestrians from injury in the event of a collision.

ROCKINGTEAM REVIEW:: The vehicle is trendy and suits all facets, but honda has overpriced the vehicleby about 1,30,000 bucks. It lacks in one step from the feature rich i20.Another drawback is that only one varient 1198cc is available. Jazz would have been more welcomed if a more powerful 1500cc was available.

Most of the people around us doesn’t know much about the mono suspension technology. They doesn’t know what it means. For those who want to know more about mono suspension bikes and mono suspension technology this post is added.

Actually the name itself gives us the idea about it. ie, mono suspension bikes means….there will be one suspension to support it.When monosuspension is mentioned everyone should remember that it should be on the rear side. Actually i think there is only monosuspension technology is on the rear side only.On Indian roads it is correct. But i don’t know whether there is that type of technology on the front side.

Should this monosuspension actually gives comfort for the rider?

If i am answering for this question, i should say “YES”.Ya actually compared to the other type of ordinary suspensions, this monosuspension is much better….We can only say that it is only much better…If u are a long distance rider, even in the monosuspension bikes also u may be uncomfortable…..But I am also accepting another fact also….Not only the monosuspension gives the rider a good comfort but also it depends on the other elements of the bike.

In Indian roads there are not so many bikes having the technology of mono suspension….Some bikes which is having that technology are HONDA UNICORN,YAMAHA FZ 16, YAMAHA R15.
From my knowledge about Indian bikes i think there are only these three bikes having the technology of monosuspension. In this category HONDA UNICORN had implemented this technology since 2005. As everyone knows the real power of Honda, it is not a surprising one….
Actually we have to ask the question that why Honda didn’t implement this technology before that. Its not actually praising Honda…..Everyone should think that…No other bikes hadn’t even tried that technology since 3 years…. We know everyone should go in the way of a person, if he is a succesful one…Like that We know Honda Unicorn has a very great impact on Indian roads and it was really a succesful one in the category of 150CC bikes…..Anyway it is not the time to check which bike is better in the Indian roads. We should have to know whether this monosuspension gives the rider a comfort?

From my riding experience its very easy to say that monosuspension is better than ordinary ones for the rider.Ya…It should be given bold because for the rider it gives much comfort. But the person in the rear side it is not much better. It should be easily evaluated from the picture given here.

From this picture everyone can clearly see that the suspension is given only to the rider. So i had said that the suspension only gives comfort for the rider.

Also in the foreign bikes and also for the mud racing bikes ther is much usage of monosuspension technology than ordinary ones.In the racing bikes also this technology is used. Some pics of these bikes are given below…..

Anyway let me conclude for the above question. For the better ride and comfort with 100% sure everyone can pick up a mono suspension bike.It will be better compared to other ordinary ones.So Enjoy the ride………
