Nokia released their new N series model N79 after the success of their gaming phone Nokia N85.The new Nokia N79 features innovative smart Xpress-On covers, which are user-changeable colored housings. The main feature of the phone is When you install a new Xpress-On cover, the theme of the phone’s user interface also changes to match the cover.The phone’s d-pad is also a touch-sensitive NaviWheel, allowing you to quickly scroll through long lists using your thumb.

It comes in 5 different Back Covers (Light Sea Blue, Espresso Brown, Olive Green, White and Coral Red), out of which 3 different smart back covers are shipped along with the phone. The cool thing about It will surely show its true multimedia magic that includes integrated navigation, FM transmitter, high speed of connectivity and enhanced web browsing facility.This theme switching with different back covers is almost instantaneous as seen in a demo.The phone will be available at a price of Rs.22939/-.

Samsung Launches ‘BEAT’ Edition Music Mobiles………

Harking back to a seemingly bygone era when mobile phones offered just integrated music and photography, not a complete PC alternative, Samsung has sung us this a new line…

‘The Beat’ range will comprise two handsets: the ‘s’ for slider and ‘b’ for candybar (yes, slightly confusing) – also known as the ‘M3200′ and ‘M3510′. Both are aimed towards the lower end of the market but offer near 1cm waistlines and a few nice surprises.

In the case of the s (M3200), you get DNSe (Digital Natural Sound engine) and a Bang & Olufsen ‘ICEpower’ audio chip for improved sound quality, stereo Bluetooth (A2DP), an FM tuner with RDS and recording ability, that all important 3.5mm headphone jack and an accelerometer which enables ‘Motion Play’, ie: tracks to be skipped with a hearty shake.

Automatic mood based music playlists are available too (as seems the current trend) plus Shazam’s excellent ‘Find Music’ service, while on the hardware side a 2MP camera, 2in QVGA display and microSD memory card slot round things off.

As for the b (M3510) – form factors aside – it is virtually identical feature-for-feature and spec-for-spec so your main decision is primarily aesthetic.

Both Beat phones will be launching in early October and expect them to be a hit (pun very much intended) on the PAYG scene while any kind of monthly contract should land them for free.

New mobile : ASUS P565

Taiwanese company ASUS, one of the top most manufacturer’s of eletronic gadgets is now goi6ng to excel everyone with their new mobile phone, ASUS P565. This new phone is an ultra fast pocket PC phone which was made with the latest trend in mind. P565 is quite sleek and measures only 102 x 60.5 x 16 mm and  is a lighter than some of its competitors in the field.

This new set uses ASUS’ Glide Interface on top of the familiar Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. The fastest processor in the industry today, operating at 800MHz clock-speed – a speed which until some years ago existed only in computers, has also been equipped in the new P565. Also a stylus is  provided for those who prefer operating their phone without leaving finger stains and the users would also be offered a finger-friendly UI layer over the 2.8-inch VGA display.

  • Uses 3.0-megapixel camera and a front facing 300K-pixel camera for video calls among the other multimedia features.

According to the latest news, AT& T is planning to launch a new smartphone,Pantech Aladdin by the end of 2009. The Pantech Aladdin Smartphone is a QWERRTY slider which suppots quad band GSM/EDGE and at the same time the triband also. As per the source Pantech Aladdin phone comes with a 2.2 inch LCD display.

AT&T Pantech Aladdin is equipped with a sliding QWERTY keyboard.Other specifications of Pantech Aladdin Smatphone include  a 1.3 Megapixel camera,  Bluetooth 2.0 and microSD cards. saources indicate that Pantech Aladdin will be available from August 2009 and there is no news regarding the pricing of the phone.

samsung-a877-phonedog-smRecently reports comes out as Samsung is going to launch A877 for AT&T by the end of this month.Rumor has it that we’re looking at the Samsung A877 here, delivering some 3.2 inches of AMOLED glory at WQVGA resolution, a 3 megapixel cam with geotagging support, TouchWiz (naturally), GPS, HSDPA, and a landscape slide-out full QWERTY keyboard. Even better, PhoneDog’s tipster says it’ll be hitting just a couple weeks away on March 29, so we don’t have terribly long to wait. The Eternity just got a whole lot less interesting.

The main feature of the phone is its battery life.The phone has a very long battery life, up to 8 hours without stopping. The phone is tri-band GSM / EDGE phone also has an internal 2.2-inch TFT screen with 240 x 320 pixels and 262K colors, an external 1 inch OLED screen, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP connectivity, music player supports, an integrated FM radio with RDS and a 2MP camera. There is no information about the pricing yet.

Gigabyte introduced their new smartphone,GSmart MW998.GSmart MW998 is actually the simplified version of the Gigabyte GSmart t600. GSmart WM998 has all the features of Gigabyte T600 except the digital TV reception.Gsmart WM998 is powered by an Intel PXA270 520 MHZ processor,256MB rom and 64MB ram.

Other features of Gigabyte GSmart MW998 includes a 2.6-inch LCD Screen with 640×480 resolution, a 2 Megapixel Camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a microSD card slot.MW998 runs the Windows Mobile 6 OS. The phone measures only 110.5 x 55.5 x 18.5 mm and weighs 140 g. It is now available in Hong Kong for about HKD$3480 (around $450USD).

New LG KS660

The newly launched LG smartphone, that is the tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE KS660, which weighs just 15 grams, is specifically designed for business users who need multiple handsets. It is the very first dual SIM smartphone from the makers LG. The major thing to be noted about this new mobile is that it does not back up Wi-Fi or 3G connectivity (third generation networks). It’s dimensions are about 105x55x10.4mm.

LG KS660 boasts a 3-inch QWGA touch screen display with feedback and 3D turn capabilities, 50 MB of built-in memory and a microSDHC memory card slot, which is expandable up to 4GB. Integrated accelerometer, FM radio, built-in multimedia player, Bluetooth 2.0, USB connectivity and a 5 megapixel video recording camera with autofocus and flash are some other features of this new mobile. It can also play videos with high resolution and supports formats including MPEG4, WMV and H.263.

This new mobile LG KS660 is expected to hit Chinese as well as Russian markets by first quarter of 2009 but there is no details on a North American or European release up till now. There is no details about the price of the mobile too.

Spice launched new mobile phone that is targetting the youth and college students. Spice has rolled out its latest mid level VAS-enabled handset, the S-940 in the Indian market. The newly launched phone that weighs 96 grams has 8 MB of internal memory and a 1GB microSD card expandable up to 2GB.

The major features of the phone are a 2MP camera with flash, music player with dual speakers, stereo Bluetooth, FM, privacy lock, Opera Mini, SMS scheduler, dazzle ringtone and FM (with record and play). The phone’s 1000 mAH battery offers 5 hrs talktime and 350 hrs of standby time. The main highlight of the phone is that it is equipped with ‘e-mail2sms’ service, which is a platform that provides e-mails as an SMS to the inbox, and social networking platform ibibo’s New Friend Finder.

The mobile phone is now available at a price of Rs. 5,999 in the Indian market.
